Taking A STEP

Often times we spend a lot of time in our comfort zone that we never explore just how great we can become at certain things. In most cases we just afraid of judgement or we are afraid to take the risk because we don’t give ourselves enough credit that we can actually do whatever we put our mind to.

We all have goals or dreams that we wish to reach one day but nothing is going to happen or change if you don’t take a step to secure your dreams. One huge stumbling block is your comfort zone. We all get used to the way things are that we cannot deal if we are forced to make a change within ourselves. The problem is we are too comfortable being fearful, doubtful and mediocre. We don’t imagine ourselves doing great things that we are destined to do or become great in the things we show interest in. We are too afraid to test the waters because we are used to the same way of thinking and that happens because we are surrounded by people who think exactly like that, they do not dare to dream. A famous speaker once said "Surround yourself with functional people and not dysfunctional people."

This means that you cannot be with people who are dysfunctional, who don’t dream, who are negative, people who have no purpose and those who are happy being in their comfort zone and never take the chance to know their capabilities.

These kinds of people never take you anywhere in life, you will always find yourself in the same position. Rather be with functional people who will allow you the space to be the best person you can be. However everything begins with you, change is only change until you make the change. Life does not offer you bread crumbs to catch instead you need to change your own situation.

Make your dreams happen, nothing comes to you for free, you work for what you want. Life only offers you a certain percentage of what you need and the rest is up to you to either take or not in other words make something for yourself or just be happy with the little you have. You get off life what you put in. I was once told that you cannot go forward if you’re thinking is still backwards. You need to change the way you think in order to change the direction in which you are going.

Take a step in your life, if you have a dream work to achieve it. Life is about dreams, they give us purpose, something to work towards and eventually achieve. What is your purpose in life?
