Yung skull is a Nelspruit (Ngodini) born and raised aspiring hip hop artist and as of recent developments, actor. He started rapping back in Acek Academy with a few friends, and from there on they went to form a group and started making music all the way in 2009.
The group went on to release a couple of songs that got them recognition and word started spreading fast about the group, a lot achievements have been accumulated along the way. Like performing at Blue Room in Hatfield, Music Garden, TUT (Main campus) award ceremony, Europa lounge in PTA, High school cool, Lowveld high school beauty contest and music garden just to name but a few.
As time went on, he decided it's time to leave his comfort zone within being in a group and start crafting his own solo career which has been what he describes as, "a journey in the wilderness."
In the short space of time, he's released a few songs, with Head Right having been his first solo song and has received good feedback behind the scenes, having scored a spot on the KFC soundbite charts, SA hip hop magazine, Traphouse media and Fakaza magazine just to name but a few.

His second single "Heavenly ft. Drummer kid" was a more story telling of the journey and challenges faced in their lives and it ended up being the last few songs recorded before Drummer kid hung up his mic.
"It really is hard to come to Joburg and try build relationships with producers/beat makers and sound engineers if they don't know you. Life of an aspiring musician is hard in this dog eat dog world." But besides the challenges, he continues to soldier on and find ways that'll work for him.
With that being said, he just landed his first acting gig and he features as a lead role in the movie titled Hell Of Fame, where ironically his this top notch musician who has it all but loses everything due to lack of discipline. " The movie is a great lesson to the youth, especially us who are trying to make it into the entertainment industry, hence I decided to take the role and gig."
Right now Yung Skulk is trying to finish up his EP before the BFM Awards and also at the same time, his first mixtape. Having worked with producers such as Street Carnivore, Roy Charamba, Tec Flo and Trapizx beats, the mixtape promises to be a master piece. One worth the 2yr wait.
